The keys to the #NicestCar in Britain: Citroen C4 Cactus W Special Edition
At the beginning of the week I travelled to Richmond to visit Givergy, the sponsor of the Nicest Job in Britain. It's not the first time I have worked with Givergy. In a previous life, at a black tie S.P.A.C.E. ball in Southampton, myself and the committee had used their silent auction touch pad technology (formerly known as ibid) to help raise over £16,000 for the Rainbow Centre.
I spent the day learning more about those event auction services and the online auction platform they offer charities too. One or two lots caught my eye not least of all the wine tasting experience and I had to resist bidding by distracting myself with a space hopper in their funky office break out space!
The Givergy team are incredibly enthusiastic, each person I met was passionate about fundraising and shared the belief that more can be raised through technology. A large number of staff have come over from the charity sector in order to build on what they have created here.
At the end of this week I travelled to Coventry to pick up the keys to the #nicest car in Britain and to kick off a really exciting partnership between Citroen and the Nicest Job in Britain. I was met by Katie and the Citroen team who showed me round their UK head office and got an awesome demo of the Catctus' features from their experts.
I will be racking up some mean miles this year, travelling the length and breadth of the country to showcase the incredible work that is going on behind the doors of our 40 charities. The Citroën C4 Cactus W Special Edition is an extraordinary car for an extraordinary purpose - it's quirky and endearing design will stand out on the motorway and its oodles of space is going to prove invaluable for storing my kit and travelling in comfort on all the long journeys!
A word from Citroen:
"Since 1919, Citroen has been creating cars with bold, stand-out design. The brand has become synonymous with innovation, creativity and useful technology, always looking to deliver the best driving experience. The recently announced Citroen Advanced Comfort* programme aims to improve not only driving comfort, but also create a sense of well-being through useful technologies and a relaxed interior ambience. Instantly recognisable and proof of Citroen's fun loving spirit is one of the brand’s most unique features, the Airbump* technology which protects the car from everyday dents and scrapes.
Citroen has teamed up with The Nicest Job in Britain to help raise awareness for some of the most deserving charities in the UK."
I can't wait to hit the road in the new wheels next week with my first charity, Step up to Serve.
If you spot the #nicestcar out and about then please do give me a wave, or come and say hi!
